How to Play Chicken Ways, Jump by Jump
SmartSoft sums the game up as Bet → Jump → Collect. That's accurate, but it skips the parts that cost people money: the bet goes in with the first jump, the minimum collect is 1.05x, and an idle round cashes itself out. Here's the full sequence.
Each moving part is unpacked further on the Chicken Ways features page.
Pick a Stake With − and +
The bet selector sits where the Cash Out button will appear later. SmartSoft's demo offers 22 preset stakes from 0.10 to 1,000; your casino may use a different range and currency. Settle the amount now, because a round can't be changed once it starts.
Make the First Jump
There's no separate Bet button. The screen says "Choose your way", and your first arrow tap places the stake and moves the chicken. From the 1x start tile the options are 1.05x to the right, 1.1x up, or 1.5x on the diagonal.
Read the Three Tiles Ahead
After each successful jump the three reachable tiles light up with their multipliers in large print. You can jump by tapping an arrow or by tapping the tile itself. The diagonal tile always carries the largest number. SmartSoft talks about easy, medium and hard moves without pinning them to arrows, but by the numbers the diagonal is the hard one.
Collect or Keep Going
The orange Cash Out button shows your stake times the tile you're on. Press it and the round is over and paid. Jump again and you risk all of it, because hitting a trap loses the original bet and everything the tile was worth.
Know How the Round Can End
Three ways: you cash out, a trap catches the chicken, or the chicken reaches the 10,000x corner and the game pays automatically. A fourth applies if you walk away. Two minutes after your last jump the game collects at your current tile for you.
Right, Up or Diagonal: Reading the Choice
Real offers from the demo board. The straight jumps sit close together. The diagonal pulls away, and the gap grows the deeper you go.
| Current tile | Right | Up | Diagonal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1x (start) | 1.05x | 1.1x | 1.5x |
| 2x | 2.2x | 2.1x | 3x |
| 6x | 7x | 10x | 12x |
| 10x | 12x | 15x | 20x |
Notice that “right” and “up” swap places as the cheaper option depending on where you are. Near the start, right is the smaller step (1.05x against 1.1x). On 2x it's up (2.1x against 2.2x). That's why we don't label one arrow “easy” for good. Read the numbers on the tiles instead.
Edges matter too. Once the chicken reaches the top row it can only go right, and in the right-hand column it can only go up. Near the finish that means a run of forced jumps with no gentler arrow to fall back on.
Every Button on the Screen

- Arrows. Three green tiles: right, up and diagonal. Greyed out when that direction runs off the board.
- Turbo. The blue lightning tile. Speeds the jump animation up without changing the odds.
- Zoom. The magnifier. Pulls back to show all 169 tiles. The rules point to it as the way to see every possible step.
- Light / dark. A sun and moon switch on the left that changes the board between a daylight and a night look.
- History and stats. The clock icon on the right. The stats cover My Bets (your own rounds) and Top Wins, ranked by day, week and month.
- Burger menu. Extra options, including the full rule sheet with your casino’s minimum and maximum bet filled in, and the sound switch.
No autoplay is listed in the rules, so every jump is a tap you make yourself.
Idle Timers and Dropped Connections
Two minutes. If you stop touching the game after a successful jump, it waits two minutes and then cashes out at your current tile. You don't lose the round, but you don't get to keep jumping either.
Five minutes. With no activity at all for five minutes in a row, the session ends.
Mid-jump drop. If the connection goes while the chicken is in the air, the jump finishes on the server and you see the outcome when you reconnect. If a trap was hit, the round is closed and logged in Round History. If the chicken survived, you can carry on as long as two minutes haven't passed since the jump.
Habits That Hold Up
Choose the exit tile first. The board is printed in advance, so you can point at 3x or 20x before you bet. Once the chicken is standing on 2.5x with 3.5x next door, the choice gets a lot harder to make calmly.
Count jumps, not just multipliers. Five straight jumps to reach 2x means facing a trap five times. Two diagonals reach the same 2x in two. Under the 97% reading on the RTP page, the total risk is the same either way, so pick whichever rhythm keeps you to your plan.
Size the stake to the target. A 1.5x target needs a smaller bankroll cushion than a 100x one, where most rounds end on a trap. The bigger the target, the smaller the stake should be.
Be careful with Turbo. It makes rounds faster. Faster rounds mean more bets per hour and the same 3% edge on each one.
